The 21-year-old scored another two as well, completing his hat-trick in the 54th minute before handing Wolves a lifeline having the unfortunate own-goal (69). Patrick Cutrone added the following to the hosts having five minutes to play, but Mason Mount (90+6) had the last word as he slotted home together with the last kick of the match.
This was the Premier League win of the year for Frank Lampard – sending Chelsea into sixth with eight things – while Wolves remain winless in the league before their Europa League group stage opener on Thursday.
The half an hour was a muted affair, and there was not a shot on goal before the magnificent opener at the 31st minute of Tomori.
At the peak of the area, Jonny’s tried clearance found that the defender Following a bad corner routine from Chelsea, and a fantastic effort was pinged by him into the far corner for his first Blues goal.
The lead, also Abraham doubled. As he’d fed Mount inside the region, together with the latter going down by Conor Coady following contact tomori was included . The ball fell to Abraham who took a touch before hitting home on the flip side while players and the crowd called to get a punishment.
The nabbed another dual – his third in games – in the 41st minute as he continues to unwind at the Premier League.
A Jesus Vallejo clearance gathered at the very top right corner, before viewing Abraham at the middle. Since the ball has been delivered, the striker nipped in the front of his guard Coady to head the third of Chelsea .
It took nine minutes of the second half for Abraham to finish his hat-trick. A move that was floated gathered under pressure from Coady from Jorginho, before tricking his way and racing onto the ball. After that, it turned into a refined finish into the far corner as Chelsea made it four.
Abraham was included all around the pitch and inadvertently handed Wolves a way back in the match having a minute own-goal. Romain Saiss led a Joao Moutinho corner towards the net, which divides Abraham’s arm . The ball subsequently slipped through the hands of Kepa Arrizabalaga as the possibility of a clean sheet this year of Chelsea came to a conclusion.
It was a grandstand finish when Wolves added another at the 85th minute. This was a deserved target after coming on at half-time for Cutrone, who excelled, after the shot of Matt Doherty had been initially saved by Arrizabalaga, because he fired a volley home at close range.
But it was not enough to inspire a comeback since the victory was secured by Chelsea with the last kick of the match. It turned out to be a no-look pass from Michy Batshuyai that picked Mount out down the leftwith the 10-year-old placing up himself nicely before curling a shot round Vallejo and into the back of the web.
Who else? He also scored four goals – three for the group – and could have added more for Chelsea since the game went on. Completing in the area and his positioning was top class and he is currently going a long way to demonstrating that he can be the main person for Chelsea during their transfer ban.
He contributed in the back too and made a very good clearances to keep Wolves from scoring picking up a yellow card for a foul. His own purpose there wasn’t too much he might have done and was unfortunate, but luckily, it wasn’t completely detrimental to the last outcome.
Abraham is a man full of confidence in the moment which is fantastic for Chelsea, Frank Lampard and England. If the October internationals come around Certainly he can not be ignored by Gareth Southgate.
