Sheffield United co-owner Kevin McCabe ordered to sell his share of club to Prince Abdullah

The co-owner Kevin McCabe of sheffield United needs to sell his share of their team Prince Abdullah, for Saudi co-owner, a High Court judge has ruled. McCabe might have to sell his stake to Prince Abdullah for # 5m from the Premier League club. In a hearing that lasted less than a few minutes, Justice Fancourt’s conclusion ended a bitter 18-month legal struggle for management at Bramall Lane. After hearing six weeks of proof in the High Court of London over the summertime, the judge said his firm SUL and McCabe must sell their stocks in the club to Prince Abdullah. In a declaration, Prince Abdullah said:»I am delighted that this judgement brings an end to the uncertainty on Sheffield United’s future. Our director Chris Wilder and the team are off to a beginning and we can concentrate on this critical Premier League year under stable ownership. «[…] I’m fully committed to continuing investment in both the First Team and the Academy as well as delivering best practices and the highest standards of direction to the team. «I also look forward to hearing from the fans, team staff and other stakeholders seeing ways where we can enhance the matchday experience and encourage the community which has so loyally supported us. «One initiative underway is that the unification of their club and its key properties. We would like to get our stadium and intend to complete this integration within the coming year.» Justice Fancourt adjourned the case till October 14, and McCabe will have 21 days to decide whether he’s to appeal Monday’s judgement.
