Speaking at his youth soccer camp Friday, Cleveland receiver Jarvis Landry called the situation a»non-issue,» per multiple colleagues on the scene. Landry also noted that he doesn’t expect Mayfield and Johnson to have any difficulty working together.
The kerfuffle began during Browns minicamp a week when Johnson reiterated his desire to be traded. Mayfield suggesting Johnson’s scenario was»self-inflicted» and said,»you are either on this train or you are not, it is moving.»
According to Silver, several teammates took exception that Mayfield would break the unwritten locker room rule that you don’t interject in another man’s business scenario.
The Browns are away until the end of July when they go for training camp. In case Landry, a group leader alongside Mayfield, is right, the Mayfield-Johnson lively won’t be a problem by then.
