C/1B — Yasmani Grandal (MIL) — $3,200 vs. SD The Brewers will last their big for a postseason berth tonight when they take on the San Diego Padres at the hitter-friendly Miller Park in Milwaukee. The Brewers should definitely be able to have some runs throughout the board with this one as they accept right-hander Garrett Richards as he takes the ball for the very first time in the big leagues because July. There is little doubt the oft-injured Richards was an excellent MLB pitcher — when healthy — as he possesses a career 3.54 ERA and 3.62 FIP, however Richards has thrown only 9.1 little league innings this season and many recently posted a 8.10 ERA across 6.2 innings in the High-A level. Sign me up all day . 3B — Mike Moustakas (MIL) — $3,300 vs. SD Continuing with our three-man Brewers heap is Moustakas who is once again having a major season in terms of power against right-wing pitching, though he has treated left-handers with lots of power also, so I will not worry about matchup issues against left-handed relievers when Richards departs this game early — that can be a certainty awarded his little workload this season and lengthy injury history. The man known as Moose enters this one sporting a .283 ISO, .880 OPS, .360 wOBA and 120 wRC+ to the season against right-handed pitching. But against lefties, he’s posted a .245 ISO, .841 OPS, .348 wOBA and 112 wRC+. Big things are expected here and Hoerner has not frustrated. OF — Ben Zobrist (CHC) — $2,700 vs. CIN Zobrist are the one leading off this Cubs stack tonight because he gives us a few value upside down in that precious leadoff spot. The 38-year-old veteran has overlooked the majority of the season and appeared in only 36 games to the stage as a result of personal problems, and we already know that the power is not what it was years ago as he’s only 1 homer in 133 major league plate appearances on the year and hit just nine in 139 games last year. Having said that , the bat is still very far successful since he put together a very nice .355 wOBA and 123 wRC+ just last year on the rear of a major walk rate and tiny strikeout rate. The OBP numbers stay strong this season at .368 because of some large 13.5% drop speed which reluctantly matches his 13.5percent strikeout rate. Despite a challenging year which comprises a 5.83 ERA, Gausman has really maintained the walks in test at 2.82 BB/9, however I believe this is a real avenue for Zobrist to get on base and score some runs in this particular one — bringing us some worth from the process. Big hopes for this four-man stack tonight. UTIL — Eric Thames (MIL) — $2,700 vs. SD It took some time, but I will finally complete my three-man Brewers stack with Thames who brings some real fine value to the table considering his his energy — the majority of which comes against right-handed pitching. Thames enters this one tonight wearing a .264 ISO, .874 OPS, .361 wOBA along with 121 wRC+ to the season against right-wing pitching. The production has recently picked up a few notches at home and Thames has submitted a .281 ISO, .934 OPS, .385 wOBA along with 136 wRC+ over the summer against righties at Miller Park. It has not been September for its Thames, but that power has remained with a powerful .211 ISO for your month. Below standards? Yes. But, it’s still a number. After going his past five matches without a hit, then Thames went 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored in yesterday’s game against the Cardinals, so a stretch has begun. Not only are the Brewers confronting a pitcher that has not thrown in the big leagues at over a year, but they’ll also confront the league’s 19th-ranked bullpen later, so I like the chances of this three-man pile to put some runs on the board in such a .
