Coco Gauff wins first WTA title at Upper Austria Ladies Linz
By beating the Upper Austria Ladies Linz to be captured by Jelena Ostapenko 6-3 1-6 6-2 on Sunday, coco Gauff acquired her first WTA title.
The 15-year-old, that reached the fourth round at the US Open at Wimbledon and the next round, bounced back after dropping a place to win.
Gauff had previously called Linzmy little blessed place and its allure held for the teenager through the final, despite a late wobble.
Two late games fell before closing the game out after rushing out to a 5-0 lead in the deciding set.
The teenagers progression to her name included her victory on a top 10 player after losing in the last round of qualifying to entering the draw as a lucky loser.
The name means is sure to join the worlds leading 100 and can rise to up over the top 75.
